Meeting for Under Overpasses, Color Line Project
Friday, December 17, 2010 at 09:02PM Just had my first meeting for my first large scale film project "Under Overpasses" yesterday. It was a great experience. I had a great time talking all my cast mates and got a chance to sit and talk with the writer/director of the movie Ben Sliwa, which is always a fun time because we're such goofy guys. All in all, we got to meet almost everyone involved and it gets me excited to start rehearsal soon.
Also, getting prepared for my first stage manger opportunity for the performance being created by the University of Akron students in the Color Line Project. The show (which is based on stories collected from local Akron residents who experienced the events of the civil right movement first hand)is set to premier in February at EJ Thomas in down town Akron. This is going to be a great show and I'm proud to be working on it. The fact that it is so strongly based on the city I have grown up in, and it will also represent my first backstage adventure makes it all the more special to me.
